As we all begin to wake from our winter reverie, strip off our scarfs and embrace the crisp spring air, we search out new and exciting places and palates to rouse our tastebuds.
Bar Alto, situated within Brisbane’s Powerhouse, has chosen to accompany you through the culinary delight that is Veneto, Italy. Their new spring menu is an inspirational combination of the freshest ingredients entwined together with the exuberant colours and perfumes of a glass of Corte Giara Pinot Grigio.
Feast on the three course seasonal menu, deck out on the Brisbane River and gaze across this season’s finest sights for a delightful lunching experience every Tuesday through Saturday, this September.
You’ll be wined and dined on the richness of the Veneto waters with dishes including risotto al nero di sepia (risotto with cuttlefish and its ink), Pesce al cartoccio (daily market fish, mussels, artichokes, potatoes & lemon) and explore the flavours of the Alps with Bigoli al sugo di piselli (traditional pasta from veneto, spring pea ragu and house made pancetta) and Fegato alla Veneziana (pan fried calves liver venetian style with onions).
Top it all off with a Veneto delicacy, Crema Fritta (a sweet fried cream), a walk in New Farm park, catch a show at the Powerhouse or let your italian self come alive with a boat ride down our enchanting river on a dreamy Citycat experience.
Just one of springs refreshing happenings to get us excited for the new season!
